The Essential Guide To MyFitnessPal: Checking Your Macros

Once you’ve set up your calories/macros in the MyFitnessPal app and have started adding food, you'll need to know how to check those numbers throughout the day. This way you'll know what you can (and can’t) fit into your nutrition plan for that day. Here's how you do it!

Step 1

From the home page of MyFitnessPal, Select More from the bottom right-hand corner navigation bar. Seven options down, select Nutrition.

Step 2

From the navigation bar at the top of the Nutrition page you can select from Macros, Nutrients or Calories.

Macros allows you to view just your macronutrient intake as a pie chart and underneath as exact grams.

Nutrients allows you to view your macronutrient and micronutrient intake as a bar graph with the total, goal and how many grams you have remaining.

Calories allows you to view your caloric intake from each meal as a pie graph and in total calories.
