Average Person Gained Half A Stone During Lockdown

The BBC has reported that in England more than 40% of adults have gained weight during the pandemic, with the average weight gain coming in at half a stone. The leading causes of weight gain during this time are believed to be snacking and comfort eating, with a large spike in takeaway orders.

While we often purely think about the aesthetic implications of weight gain, if the pandemic has taught us anything it's that we need to really think about the internal implications (fat accumulation around vital organs) of weight gain and prioritise our health to help combat often preventable disease and illness.

There are so many options available to you, and most are offering a quick fix to entice you. At the Coopers Hill Training Club, we don't believe in 'fad diets', or 'fad workouts' for that matter, we take a 360 view of your health to ingrain fitness into your lifestyle in a sustainable fashion.

Small-Group Personal Training is the unique membership that we offer at the Coopers Hill Training Club, it involves an experienced trainer (me) guiding a small group of members (maximum of four) towards their individual goals in a fun, challenging and rewarding atmosphere.

Does lockdown weight gain sound like an all too familiar story to you, and is now the time you finally decided to take control of your health and fitness?

"Philip has changed my perspective on training. Not only is he knowledgeable, his application is organised, relevant and fun. He's the best of the bunch I've had over the years, and that's a lot of years."
